Allan Bamforth provides strategic guidance and oversight to all members of the firm, ensuring the successful execution of their projects. He leads quality control efforts for engineering and surveying operations, ensuring that all Bamforth clients’ projects meet the highest standards. With his extensive knowledge of industry standards and his keen ability to identify potential conflicts and constructability issues, Mr. Bamforth plays a critical role in delivering superior-quality outcomes. He has successfully overseen projects in diverse regions, including the United States, Europe, the Caribbean, and the Middle East. A former United States Marine, Mr. Bamforth was inducted into the Hardy Cross Hall of Fame in 2014 by the Old Dominion University Civil and Environmental Engineering Visiting Council (ODU CEEVC) in recognition of his lifetime contributions to both professional and community service, which have significantly advanced the engineering profession.

Anna Lee Bamforth, P.E., L.S., LEED AP BD+C
For over 33 years, Anna Lee has served as President of Bamforth Engineers + Surveyors, pairing civil engineering and land surveying expertise with prime contract project management to deliver successful outcomes. She leads the full project lifecycle—preparing surveys, conducting field investigations, completing preliminary engineering reports, developing civil and environmental construction documents, producing cost estimates and design calculations, securing site plan and permit approvals, and managing subcontractors. She also oversees construction administration, including shop drawing reviews, to keep scope, schedule, and quality aligned from design through closeout.
Anna Lee leads by example: she continues to design, conducts field surveys during site visits, and meets regularly with clients and contractors to drive progress and resolve issues. Her portfolio spans the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean. Anna Lee has managed field parties and performed analyses of pavements, water, wastewater, and storm drainage systems to deliver high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective solutions. She holds Professional Engineer licenses in Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, and Georgia, and is a Virginia Licensed Land Surveyor.

Richard Garriott offers expert guidance on developing design solutions for complex civil engineering challenges, ensuring that projects are well-planned and executed. He plays a key role in multi-disciplinary quality control reviews for Bamforth clients, using his extensive experience to anticipate and resolve potential issues during both the design and construction phases. With a focus on risk mitigation, Richard excels in identifying and addressing potential problems before they arise. His experience spans civil design projects involving drainage, pavement, and utility systems, where his insights contribute to efficient and effective solutions.

Darrell G. Bryan, P.E.

Darrell G. Bryan, P.E.
Darrell Bryan joined Bamforth from the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, bringing extensive expertise in geotechnical and pavement engineering. He has contributed to the design and construction of a wide range of infrastructure projects across North and Central America, as well as the Middle East. Darrell has led teams on numerous major road and airfield condition assessments, utilizing advanced pavement management and design software. With a deep knowledge of pavement maintenance and materials, he performs a variety of functions, including design, specification preparation, construction support, and quality control. His leadership and technical expertise ensure the successful execution of infrastructure projects that meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Andrea T. Landfair, P.E.

Andrea T. Landfair, P.E.
Andrea Landfair manages civil and environmental engineering designs for Bamforth clients across a wide range of federal, local government, and private sector projects. Her primary focus is on the highly regulated field of stormwater management, where she navigates increasingly stringent regulations to deliver effective solutions. Andrea has contributed to projects across the United States, bringing her expertise to diverse environments. She is certified as a Virginia DEQ Stormwater Management Plan Reviewer, ensuring that all projects comply with state and federal requirements, and is a licensed in VA, NC, NV, TX, and WA states. Through her work, Andrea plays a vital role in delivering sustainable and compliant stormwater management solutions.

David W. Campbell, MSCE

David W. Campbell, MSCE
Since joining Bamforth, David Campbell has revolutionized the company’s former ink-on-mylars drafting department, transforming it into a cutting-edge CADD Department. The department now utilizes the latest AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ESRI ArcGIS software, enabling Bamforth to deliver highly accurate models, surveys and design drawings. These advanced tools have significantly improved the efficiency of the design process, reducing the time needed to design, analyze, and implement changes. David’s innovations have enhanced the quality of our work and allowed us to better serve our clients with precision and speed. Through his efforts, Bamforth remains at the forefront of technology in civil engineering design and land surveying.

As the Office Manager, Laarni Campbell efficiently coordinates the administrative staff, human resources, and accounting functions to ensure the smooth operation of the office on a daily basis. Her exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills are crucial in preparing submittal packages and managing project schedules. Laarni oversees the allocation of staff and materials for projects located nationwide and overseas, ensuring that all resources are properly organized and timelines are met. Through her leadership, the office remains well-organized and efficient, supporting the success of Bamforth’s operations.

Michael T. Wood
Mike Wood is responsible for creating layouts for new work, including profiles and detailed drawings provided by the engineers. He organizes and sets up the sheets that will house all project information, ensuring they are properly formatted and ready for printing or delivery to clients. His attention to detail and organizational skills ensure that all documents are prepared accurately and efficiently. Through his efforts, the team can confidently deliver high-quality, client-ready documents.

Josh Godfrey has extensive experience in performing and supervising a wide range of surveying projects across both the public and private sectors. Timothy L. Borel, EIT
Timothy Borel supports engineers with drafting, design, engineering reports, calculations, and construction administration for a variety of federal and private projects at Bamforth. He has extensive experience using CAD software to create site layouts, profiles, grading plans, assemblies, cross sections, and corridors. He is certified as a Virginia DEQ Erosion and Sediment Control Plan Reviewer, ensuring that all projects comply with state and federal requirements. Through his dedication and technical abilities, Timothy plays a vital role in ensuring the success of Bamforth’s engineering projects.

Alexander Murden is a recent graduate in Civil Engineering with a minor in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University. He provides engineering support on stormwater management, utility studies, calculations, engineering reports, specifications, permitting, and engineering design. Alex contributes across a range of federal, local government, and private projects, providing dependable technical support throughout.

Thomas Duckworth is a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate with a focus on mechanical systems and design, and he serves in the U.S. Army Reserves. He provides engineering support on pump stations, utility studies, and engineering design. Building on an internship in the surveying department, his experience includes subdivisions, topographic surveys, and boundary surveys. He contributes to projects across federal, local government, and private sectors, bringing a solid blend of mechanical and surveying experience to project teams.

Brady Semtner

Brady Semtner
Brady Semtner is pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology at Old Dominion University and is involved with the Navy ROTC. He brings hands-on field experience in topographic and boundary surveying, differential leveling, utility mapping, and construction stake-out, supporting projects across both public and private sectors.
